There are only two works in Adventism that have attempted to apply some psychological evaluation to Ellen White, an activity that is nearly considered to be blasphemous by many Adventists. Janet Numbers Swain has written a valuable chapter in the revised edition of her husband’s, Prophetess of Health, which will be addressed in chapter three.
